Movement's catchphrase is that the science is settled, but science is never settled and good policy takes that into account
For example, the end of the Little Ice Age is invariably the starting point for calculating a global temperature increase — which is like a government calculating its effects on economic growth by starting at the trough of the last recession. Confirmation bias is provided by influencers, including uniquely unqualified Hollywood stars, who propagate the doctrine of the faith. Fear is employed as a powerful motivator and is inculcated from childhood. Apocalyptic doom is preordained for collective disobedience and salvation promised for devotees and repentants who comply with onerous strictures, many of which have no practical utility.

In January 2025, Mark Carney walked out of the corporate boardrooms to run for the Liberal Party leadership. By March he was prime minister and a few months later he won a general election with a mandate to protect Canadian sovereignty from a seemingly predatory U.S. administration. Despite his multiple conflicts of interest with the globalists’ agendas, Canadians viewed Carney as a champion for their national interests.
The trust in Carney is misplaced when one considers what he wrote of his beliefs in his book Value(s). In the book, Carney envisions a future ideal world where climate issues have been solved by a supra-national governing organization (i.e. WEF) that harnesses private sector capital for public sector green initiatives. He envisions dictating to corporations a stakeholder capitalism that takes into account prescribed environmental goals, which would be factored above shareholder interests.
