"As we head into 2024, Locals is laying down the groundwork to continue to scale and grow. Over the last couple of days, we have been undergoing platform-wide service leading to technical issues. This whole Lake Ontario issue only identifies and illustrates how incredibly uninformed some people are, and how so many lack critical thinking skills.
What people don't understand is that Donald Trump does this on purpose, just to expose the idiocy and hypocrisy. And those of you reacting are only proving his point.
We have changed the names of streets, schools, roads, buildings, universities, sports teams, government institutions, military bases, parks, mountains, islands, towns, and geographic landmarks.
We've changed terminology for races, ethnic groups, disabilities, occupations, Indigenous peoples, and entire communities. We've changed titles and forms of address. We're told to respect people's preferred names and pronouns, even when they differ from what they were called previously.
