Something struck me when I looked at the Canadian flag on this "Canada" Day and it's something that's always made me wonder.
It seems that the Maple Leaf is a symbol of Eastern Canada and not the West. Somehow that was overlooked back in Lester Pearson's day when Canada chose a rather unusual emblem for the flag

Does anyone know if Dougie has commented on the "Crown Royal Players championship of curling in Manitoba. I must admit I had to look twice to see if I was actually seeing correctly. Good for a chuckle. Ontario only made the dam bottles not the booze.
