The next few days will decide whether Juno enters 2026 strong or scrambling - Keean Bexte - Dec 28
With just a few days left in the year, we are approaching the end of our $150,000 year-end campaign.
Right now, we have raised a little over $50,000, which means $100,000 still needs to come in before January 1.
This is the moment where everything tightens. There is no cushion left. Either we close a significant portion of that gap tonight, or we enter 2026 forced to scale back at the exact moment demand for independent journalism is exploding.
I do not often explain why I do this work, but I want to be clear with you.
Juno News exists so we can say what we see, report what we uncover, and ask questions others will not without fear of being silenced, defunded, or fired. That independence exists only because readers step up when it counts.
If we fall short, the consequences are real.
We will not be able to launch my new flagship show, In 5 Minutes with Keean Bexte.
We will be forced to slow the growth of our national newsroom instead of expanding it to compete with the legacy media Canadians no longer trust.
We will enter 2026 on our back foot, with fewer resources to defend ourselves against the government’s criminal investigation into our reporting.
And we will lose momentum at the exact moment Canadians are looking for a serious, independent national alternative.
Support Juno now
With your help, nobody owns us. Nobody controls us. Nobody shuts us up.
The year ahead will likely bring a federal election and unprecedented pressure on independent journalism. We will be expected to expose those in power, challenge those seeking power, and tell the truth even when it is uncomfortable.
That work depends on how this campaign ends.
Donate now and help us close as much of the gap as possible before midnight.
Thank you for standing with independent journalism. Together, we can make 2026 a turning point.

Two stories of a civilization in decline. Regrettably, we're talking about Canada, of course
Two stories unfolding at the same time show where the West is headed on free speech — and which countries are still capable of telling the difference between words and crimes.
In the United States, British political activist Tommy Robinson was recently admitted after receiving a rare visa waiver. That matters. Robinson has prior convictions in the United Kingdom, and the U.S. is famously ruthless about border enforcement. Deportations are routine. Waivers like this are not.
The message is clear: American authorities no longer accept the British government’s treatment of political dissidents at face value. When speech is the alleged crime, the UK justice system no longer commands automatic trust.
America, at least for now, still understands that speech is not violence.
Canada does not.

We’re officially on the road!
On Tuesday, we kicked off the Alberta Independence Tour in Mirror — and not even a major snowstorm could keep people home.
That alone should tell you something.
Albertans are ready to have a serious conversation about the future of this province. They’re not waiting for permission, and they’re certainly not letting bad weather stand in their way.
Tonight, we’re back at it in Red Deer, and there’s still time to grab a last-minute ticket.
