I got to wondering about the word 'green'. It's being used everywhere. And it seems everybody wants to be green.
We have a green party, we have green energy, green everything.
OK so I looked it up in the dictionary and among other things here are the definitions I found most applicable.
- ENVIOUS —used especially in the phrase green with envy
- marked by a pale, sickly, or nauseated appearance
- not ripened or matured
- deficient in training, knowledge, or experience
- deficient in sophistication and savoir faire : NAIVE
- 'green and credulous'
- not fully qualified for or experienced in a particular function
Hmm. They were telling us all along and now we get it.
I posted this here on May 7 and thought it was done "Went to public library to do my census and consistent with the luck I have got the long form. About 70 WOKE questions and questions that are none of their business IMHO as they don't care about real Canadians. Imagine my surprise when a census worker showed up at my door yesterday because I hadn't done. She knew I had the long form and had it with her for us to complete and I told her when and where I filled out, even approximate time of day, and she asked for confirmation code so went to work trying to find.
