Round Two. Vote now.

41 people voted so far in Round One and, as promised, we now have a new poll with only the highest polling candidates plus True North since TN was left off Round One due to the limit of eight options per poll.

Round One is now over. The Round One poll remains posted for reference but will not be consulted further.

Voting is now in the Round Two Poll, below.

We will distribute the funds once they hit $1500 in three $500 chunks unless someone has a better idea.

Please consider whether $500 is going to make a big difference to the recipient or just be a drop in the bucket. I'm thinking the one-person operations are likley to provide the biggest bang for the buck.

If this round not decisive, we'll do another round, dropping off the lowest candidates.

Previous post is here and it links back to an earlier one.

Some of these things I still miss

I grew up without safe spaces.
I grew up without trigger warnings.
I drank water from the hose.
I ate peanuts in class.
None of us wore a helmet.
Kids got hurt. We fell down. And we signed a lot of casts.

We couldn’t pause TV. We’d call out “It’s on!” as soon as the commercials started to end (for those who had left the room). And we watched our favourite shows as a family.

There was no next day delivery.
There was no bundle this with that.
There was no internet. Skip the Dishes didn’t exist.
Fast food was not the norm. It was easier to eat healthy. There were home phones. There was VH.........
